Musique 01: Johan Kaseta

What are creative people without music? It surrounds us day by day whether during good, bad or inspiring moods. Berlin-based Hannes Hehemann aka ‘Johan Kaseta‘, originally from Hamburg, compiled a mixtape for us – our very first one! “The mix is an excerpt of Beats which I am listening to these days. I was always more attracted to the beats than to the lyrics of a track – but honestly this mix is the first instrumental one I ever did.”
But Johan Kaseta’s compilation offers more than ‘just’ instrumental beats: “One or two other influences can be also recognized in it. Hildegard Knef’s band matched perfectly to the mixtape.”
Hannes Hehemann has been producing his own instrumentals for a number of years now and back in 2014 he and his friends founded their own label named ‘Lehult’. The first output from their label is titled ‘Wechselbad der Schläge’. “We gave it to our friends as a gift, but actually one order came from Japan”, Hannes tells us. So maybe this mixtape will once again make someone from Japan very happy – but hopefully a couple of other readers too.
