The ‘A Kind of Guise’-Store in Munich

Susi Streich and Yasar Ceviker, the parents and creative minds behind fashion brand ‘A Kind of Guise’, started their business in a small shared flat during their studies in Munich and have since developed their label into an internationally known brand for witty and functional streetwear. ‘Made in Germany’ is (and has been, ever since their founding) the trademark of this Munich-based label, which is also strongly connected to craftsmanship.
Two things catch the eye at the very first moment you come into contact with Susi’s and Yasar’s work: The premium fabrics from weavers with a long tradition in all their color spectrum and the special feel, and the designs of the garments which remind us of something we might have seen before on journeys. The journey – is an essential part of A Kind of Guise’s method to find new inspiration for their bi-annual collections. They get new ideas for the language of their work while traveling around the globe. This is beautiful but likewise an important aspect for this label.
Their store in Munich, which is also the very first one, transports and underlines their fashion ideology. A beautiful and cozy store for men’s and womenswear located in Munich’s young and busy Maxvorstadt quarter.
