Unbeknown by Yoko Naito

Yoko Naito’s photographic series shows us a completely other New York in winter which we are used to: Endless vastness and uninhabited spaces. This collection of images titled “Unbeknown”, which shows mostly the coast of the metropole, had been exhibited back in September last year at the “Outside” gallery in North Adams, Massachusetts. A solo exhibition which marked the end of Naito’s stay in the US where she started her career as a photographer in 2009. Today she lives in Berlin and continues her work as a photographer.
Naito graduated from the Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo where she worked as a graphic designer.
